Being home is such a privilege…

Shelves are already stocked with whatever you could possibly need. I see people I love everyday. Fun stuff happens. I miss home. I’ve only been here for 3 days and it’s been pretty eventful:

-Monday: Work, airport sports bar, jack & coke on the plane, saw my dad, HOME, talked with my mom & kuya.

-Tuesday: Took my dad out to Meijo, Seafood City, visit Lola, hangout with Dad’s side. Home, made shrimp ceviche with mom. Yum!

-Wednesday: Connie picked me up & impulsive trip to Studio 767, we ran into Catherine! Nice surprise. Starbucks. Roger! Tattoo (Leo is awesome). Panera for lunch. Visited my mom at work and saw her office. Beer & baseball game (we won!). Home. Outlet with mom. Ono’s with Roger. Met Sam. & Celinna. & Matt. & Tyler was working! :D Great day for catch up & seeing familiar faces.

-Thursday: Old Town Mexican Cafe with dad (street tacos ftw). Outlet for Cotton On!!!! :DD Best shit ever. Pick up bro bro. Mauricio stopped by my house because he drove by & saw me! (Another nice surprise) & Taho & halo halo at Seafood City.

Zorbas tonight for dinner with mom ninang & kuya! Can’t wait.

Only a few days left here, but definitely making the most of it.

I’m assigning myself homework.

Once a week, I will make an effort to text someone I’ve lost touch with to check up on how they are doing. I plan to keep this up…forever.

I need a dime

Everyone always says that people come in and out of your life for a reason…well, what they almost always fail to mention is that some stay. I’m really bad at keeping in touch. REALLY bad. To give you an idea, I don’t even call my parents. THAT bad. I suck. But what’s funny is when it comes to other people, I’m the first to remind them to call up their loved ones.

I don’t get myself.

Today I had a short conversation about keeping in touch. This person straight up told me they had nothing against me, but that after this, we probably wouldn’t be friends anymore. Quick to judge, I was curious. It was later established that we both lack in the area of initiating conversation after long periods of time. Not that we don’t want to, just, that we don’t know how, or we forget.

It made me wonder why.

Over Summer I’ve realized how many acquaintances I have. Acquaintances vs. friends. Though I’m not one to really care, and I’d revel with my 4 quarters over my 100 pennies, it made me wonder about the rest of the people I’ve met. I’ve met some pretty awesome people in my life, and I’ve lost touch with them all because I didn’t talk to them after our encounter. That or we both didn’t, or I didn’t reciprocate, etc. After thinking about it, I’d like some dimes.

Mystery I am.

Colors, I don’t like to show.

Forever unknown.

Respect.

Respect.

Love is difficult. It’s hard to understand, it hurts and it saves; its an elusive little creature. I wish love was enough and I wish I could trust without doubting. Life is hard, love makes it harder.
